WIC banned white potatoes from being purchased with it’s fruit and vegetable vouchers, and NY wants to ban soda from being bought on food stamps. What do you think? Is it fair?

My political ideology leans towards Libertarian. This is a bit interesting since I participate in the exact programs I believe are seriously flawed and often enable people and waste our tax dollars. Probably a lot of Libertarians are the ones that would fume the most when standing in a check out line behind a WIC purchase. So how do I reconcile utilizing WIC while at the same time thinking it would be better if the program were majorly overhauled or done away with? continue reading »
