WIC peer counselors are current or former WIC participants who were successful in breastfeeding and want to help other WIC moms be successful in breastfeeding as well. A breastfeeding peer counselor is a current or former WIC client who is or has successfully breastfed her baby, and is trained to help other WIC moms with breastfeeding. I was a WIC breastfeeding counselor for a little over a year until we moved for my husband’s job.
